چکیده

The absorption and utilization of NH4+ NO3− by plant roots is closely related to soil moisture. In this study, we investigated the effect short-time drought rewatering on uptake assimilation in 1-year-old Malus hupehensis plants, as well transcription changes ammonium transporters (AMTs) nitrate (NRTs). roots, content reductase activity decreased under some extent was restored after rewatering. Expression analysis indicated that most AMTs NRTs were down-regulated while MhAMT1;2 significantly up-regulated drought-stressed roots. Therefore, function further studied through bioinformatics analysis, tissue-specific expression, subcellular localization, functional complementation uptake-defective yeast Arabidopsis mutants. Results showed mainly expressed localized cell membrane. Moreover, can mediate both mutants, transport process affected external proton concentrations ATP. present study will create a basis for exploring roles AMT members improving N use efficiency condition fruit trees.

Exogenous Melatonin Alleviates Alkaline Stress in Malus hupehensis Rehd. by Regulating the Biosynthesis of Polyamines.

Since melatonin was identified in plants decades ago, much attention has been devoted to discovering its role in plant science. There is still a great deal to learn about the functional importance of melatonin, as well as its functional mode. In this paper, we examine the role of melatonin treatment in the response of Malus hupehensis Rehd. to alkaline conditions. Stressed seedlings showed chlo...

Characterization of rice functional monosaccharide transporter, OsMST5.

cDNA of a monosaccharide transporter in rice, OsMST5 (Oryza sativa monosaccharide transporter 5) was cloned and its sugar transport activity was characterized by heterologous expression analysis. The amino acid sequence and topology were similar to the sequences and topology of other plant monosaccharide transporters. Yeast cells co-expressed with OsMST5 cDNA transported some monosaccharide sub...

Functional characterization of a eukaryotic melibiose transporter.

Pathogenic fungi drastically affect plant health and cause significant losses in crop yield and quality. In spite of their impact, little is known about the carbon sources used by these fungi in planta and about the fungal transporters importing sugars from the plant-fungus interface. Here, we report on the identification and characterization of MELIBIOSE TRANSPORTER1 (MBT1) from the hemibiotro...

Identification of MsHsp20 Gene Family in Malus sieversii and Functional Characterization of MsHsp16.9 in Heat Tolerance

Heat shock proteins (Hsps) are common molecular chaperones present in all plants that accumulate in response to abiotic stress. Small heat shock proteins (sHsps) play important roles in alleviating diverse abiotic stresses, especially heat stress. However, very little is known about the MsHsp20 gene family in the wild apple Malus sieversii, a precious germplasm resource with excellent resistanc...

The effects of exogenous hormones on rooting process and the activities of key enzymes of Malus hupehensis stem cuttings

Malus hupehensis is an excellent Malus rootstock species, known for its strong adverse-resistance and apomixes. In the present study, stem cuttings of M. hupehensis were treated with three types of exogenous hormones, including indole acetic acid (IAA), naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), or green growth regulator (GGR). The effects and mechanisms of exogenous hormone treatment and antioxidant enzym...
